Another Year has passed and I am one year older today :) YAY! I do have to say that I am pretty sure this birthday this year was better than last year. It is always nice to reflect a little and know that things can sometimes be hard and then sometimes be great and sometimes just right!
Things on this Home front have been Oh So Busy, sigh. But with busy usually comes good right? I am sharing some pics that I took for a project which required me to umm… clean my room. There is nothing like having some motivation to do something that should be tackled anyway.
I got Weston to hand a peg board that was sitting in the corner against the wall for like FOUR YEARS. I didn't even think I wanted it up, so I just left it in this room leaning in various places. Well it sure makes a lot of sense to have it on the wall hanging things. What was I thinking?
Then I decluttered a LOT. I know my room won't stay exactly like this for long.
The GREATEST NEWEST addition is the curtain rod hung for me to clip quilts. I think this is going to come in real handy for sure! So the room has a little more functionality and is a little less cluttered and that is always a good thing and looks way better in pics :)! So of course I had to share right!
On the Quilting Front, I have been working on my hexies for my BOM 2014. They are fun and they seem to be going along well. Any type of hand sewing takes awhile but I am excited to see the finished result. So I bet that will hurry things along.
This is what they will look like once I have them all sewn together. UNLESS I mix up a few which is definitely a possibility for sure.
So all of these little babies are basted on the back then pulled tight then pressed and then sewn together. All of these steps do not include a sewing machine ;( However, they do involve me sewing in my living room with my family sometimes watching a movie so that isn't too terrible right ;)
I've got those 15 together. I probably should tell you that it took two separate nights to make that happen. Now having all that info it should shed light on the fact that it will take a few more to have them all complete.
Lastly, I have my Sew Need a Break quilt pieced and it is ready to quilt for reals [ see in picture below it is on the frame ] but I should mention that it has been on the frame for two weeks. I know the way I want to quilt it, but it is just a matter of getting the time to do it at this point.
SO Life has been busy and things probably will get even busier in the near future. I am trying to just breathe and take one day at a time and one project at a time. One thing that will for sure help will be having my space more functional because I am sure you noticed that I like that, lol.
